Getting close to putting the finishing touches on my piece for Thinkspace Gallery’s “Wild at Heart” show, scheduled to open Saturday, May 26th from 5PM to 8PM. I’m going to try my hardest to finish a second piece before the opening night, but a lot’s been happening in the past few months, ranging from deadlines for upcoming shows to learning some important tools of the trade during my tattoo apprenticeship with Cooper over at Guru Tattoo located in Pacific Beach.
I feel really blessed to be in the position I’m in right now, what with all these amazing opportunities to show my work as well as an incredible mentor to teach me some valuable skills I can take with me wherever I go for the rest of my life. It’s still a bit of an uphill battle at this point, but I must say, I think I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel… hopefully that isn’t a freight train headed my way. At least at this point I can say that I gave it my all and you’ll be the first to know how it all turns out… so thanks for checking in on me.
Please make some time in your schedule to check out a show with an important cause, not to mention the additional perk of viewing some beautiful art pieces lovingly created by so many talented artists. Once again, I’m honored to be a part of this show and its heartfelt intentions- but in the event that it’s too difficult for you to make it to the opening and give your support by purchasing a piece, I would hope that you decide to create your own way to help protect this world and the creatures we live amongst.
Take care until then…
